Maalström is a Prague-based woodcraft studio focused on hand-turned objects with strong emotional and material presence.

The studio was founded by Lubomír Kuča, who began his creative journey crafting recycled, hand-bound journals under the name Deafmessanger. With Maalström, he expands his practice into woodworking — honouring simplicity, imperfection, and the soulful character of each material.
