This decorative bowl is made from beech wood that comes from the Forest Botanical Garden located in Tharandt/Germany. My partner's father works there. He called me when this tree fell during a storm and offered it for my work. It was a massive tree and I just wish I would have a bigger lathe so I could turn bigger pieces from it.
